FIT have been busy delivering FIT Skills Workshops to 14 schools nationally as part of the Ideas Made Real Programme, an initiative of Irish Manufacturing Research and funded by FactortyXChange.

FIT’s Interactive Workshops
Through the FIT Skills workshops over 300 TY students were introduced to the skillsets and real-world technologies used in Advanced Manufacturing such as AR, VR, Robotics, PLC and Automation, helping students to develop the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in the future workforce.
The students achieved micro-credential badges in Cybersecurity, completed a practical challenge to wire a plug, programmed a robotic car and operated an Electro Pneumatic system. Through this hands-on experience we want to spark creativity and inspire the next generation of engineers, designers, and problem-solvers.
