Get the Digital Skills you need to get back to work

The COVID-19 pandemic has created an economic crisis, forcing tens of millions of people out of work globally. As economies start to reopen, some jobs may not come back, at least not fast enough to meet demand. The jobs that do come back will require more digital skills.

That’s why Microsoft, LinkedIn, and GitHub have created Skills for Jobs Learning Pathways.

How can Skills for Jobs program help me?

Skills for Jobs program is a global skills initiative, designed by Microsoft and LinkedIn, which is providing free access to 350 courses and six new Career Essentials Certificates for six of the most in-demand jobs in the digital economy. Using data from LinkedIn and the Burning Glass Institute, Microsoft analysed job listings to determine six of the roles in greatest demand: Administrative Professional, Project Manager, Business Analyst, Systems Administrator, Software Developer or Data Analyst.

Through this initiative Microsoft and LinkedIn will be offering up to 50,000 LinkedIn Premium subscriptions to help learners from non-profit partners of Microsoft and LinkedIn, who complete a career certificate, get access to the 18,000 LinkedIn Learning courses offered through Premium. And this skilling content is available to anyone, right now, at opportunity.linkedin.com – completely free, no fee, no paid subscription.

The programme is designed to discover new career paths, learn relevant skills with an overarching aim of helping learners to secure in-demand jobs.
