"The course I did was called Tramlines & became the blueprint for what FIT Ltd became & now offers through their Apprenticeship program. I share this to demonstrate the effectiveness of this model, and as a professional in the IT industry with 2 decades if a career behind me that wouldn't have been possible without FIT Ltd.”
Simon DalyModern Workplace Solution Specialist at Microsoft
"I completed the IT Support course with a hope to be getting a job as I had been out of work for too long. The course was 52 weeks long with 12 weeks of that being work placement. I was looking around for a work placement and had no luck until Leona got me an interview with PFH Cork, so I was delighted. Now 14 Months later I have a full-time job thanks to the KETB and FIT"
"FIT was part of the Work Experience Module during my year course of Business Administration and IT Level 5 and I was very impressed with their clear format. Elaine Mernagh, the training officer covered all areas brilliantly and gave excellent presentations on CVs, Interview Skills and LinkedIn. I would highly recommend FIT as part of any training course for people looking to improve their skills, whether in the workforce already or thinking about getting back into the workplace.
Having FIT as part of my course was a great learning and positive experience."
"FIT provided me with lots of resources that helped me with my course, like their mock interviews which were a good preparation for my interview as part of the communications module. I believe that FIT’s resources helped with my Games Development course in DIFE as well as my winning of student of the year, and these tools will continue to benefit me as I go on to my Computing in Games Development course in Dundalk Institute of Technology."
"I returned to further education in September 2018 after a career break. I completed both the Legal & Medical Secretarial course in the KCFE as I didn’t know at the beginning which sector, I would branch into upon completion. The course was 52 weeks long with two weeks of that being on work placement. During the course I became passionate about the Legal module thanks to my teacher Toireasa Ferris, so I applied to Healy Crowley Ahern Solicitors in Killorglin for my work placement, which in turn led me to obtaining a full-time job with the firm as a Legal Secretary. Massive thanks to the KCFE and to FIT for all their support and guidance throughout the year."
"FIT has given me the opportunity that I thought I had lost becoming a young mother. I financially couldn't afford years of college and in-turn crèche fees to achieve the required qualification to obtain a decent career that could support a young family. The course thought me all the practical skills that would be required in the field I was aiming to work in. In dong so I had every confidence in my interview to obtain my current role in Intel as I knew I was well capable and I had all the skills they where looking for. I am now coming up to 3 years in Intel and am grateful to FIT for helping me achieve my goal."
