In collaboration with Mayo, Sligo, and Leitrim Education and Training Board, FIT is excited to launch the Tech Alive North West initiative, which aims to deliver an ICT Associate Software Developer, ICT Associate Network Engineer, and Cybersecurity Apprenticeship intake towards the end of April 2022 within the North West region.
Importantly, and with the view and firm commitment to delivering Tech Apprenticeships on a national basis, FIT and MSLETB encourage the participation of tech employers from the region. In particular, Tech Alive North West encourages participation from employers and candidates from Gaeltacht areas or rural locations along the Wild Atlantic Way who may have previously experienced barriers to accessing innovative Skills training.
Participation in a Tech Apprenticeship provides a real opportunity for employers to establish innovative and diverse talent pipelines. FIT anticipates a virtual information event for these intakes on the 3rd of March 2022. If your employer is interested in scoping this opportunity, please email our team info@fit.ie . We look forward to welcoming you to our information event, which will aim to provide a view of the programmes, associated timings, supports, and financial incentives available to employers and candidates.
Andrew Finn, Director of Academic Affairs for FIT, notes, “Coming into early 2022, it is vital that the Tech Apprenticeship grows throughout all of Ireland, and we look forward to enabling the success of Tech Alive North West.”
