These prestigious awards are a unique celebration of diversity and female achievement within the tech industry, and we are thrilled to be finalists.
These nominations reflect FIT’s mission to promote an inclusive economy, making tech accessible to all and helping to grow Ireland’s tech talent pipeline. FIT continues to champion diversity in tech by working with industry leaders and education and training centres nationwide, to offer career opportunities that support underrepresented groups.
Some of the initiatives that we run to support diversity in tech:
iFIT Programme:
Our annual all female Software Development Tech Apprenticeship intake, is aimed at enabling women of all backgrounds nationwide to attain tech skills & qualifications to commence a successful ICT career.
This dedicated all-female Tech Apprenticeship programme is a two-year programme, which combines on-the-job learning with off-the-job training, ensuring a well-rounded experience. Learn more about the programme and how you can apply here.
We are actively looking for Tech Apprentice Employers located in Dublin and surrounding areas for the next i-FIT programme starting 28th October 2025.
By partnering with companies nationwide, from SME’s to Large multinational organisations, FIT help build more diverse tech teams and pave the way for the next generation of women to rise, lead, and thrive through this unique tech apprenticeship programme.

Cuimsiú Programme:
The Cuimsiú Programme is an initiative set up by FIT to support Neurodivergent and Disabled People on a path to tech employment that works for them. We also work with employers to support them in creating inclusive workplaces through the Cuimsiú Employer Network.
The Cuimsiú Employer Network provides employers with online and in person training, and support and resources from the Cuimsiú Team.

HERo in Tech:
FIT’s annual HERO in Tech Expo aims to inspire female learners from 4th – 6th year and LCA.
This unique expo allows young learners to explore career opportunities, hear from females leading the way in the tech sector and dive into interactive demos with our VR headsets and robotic cars.
HERO in Tech takes place on the 25th of November 2025 in the Green Isle Hotel, Clondalkin, Co. Dublin, and we are looking for forward-thinking companies to become exhibitors on the day. Contact Lorraine on lorrainekeane@fit.ie to get involved.
