Course Aim
This course gives students the practical skills necessary for a career in the I.T. industry. This course is run in conjunction with F.I.T. (FastTrack to Information Technology), who provides supports such as Mock Interviews and a Company visit to students during the year.

Career Options Students may find employment in the I.T. industry or may wish to progress onto the national Tech Apprenticeship Programme (ICT Associate Apprenticeship) or to continue their studies at Third Level. Third Level Progression: Computer Systems and Networks allows wide progression into numerous Computing related degrees at Third Level. • TU Dublin- Tallaght accept this course for all its Computing and Engineering related courses including Computing TU756, Information Technology Management TU759 and Engineering Software TU715. • TU Dublin- Grangegorman offer Computer Science TU856 amongst other courses that follow on from this award.Requirements
Leaving Certificate, Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme, Leaving Certificate
Applied Programme, QQI Level 4 or equivalent.
• Work/life experience is acceptable for mature students.
