This course provides learners with a comprehensive knowledge in medical terminology and legal practice. It equips learners with a high standard of administrative, business, legal, medical and IT skills for the modern office.
Learners are introduced to the world of legal and medical practice. Legal studies enables learners to get an overview of legal principles and procedures. Medical Terminology provides learners with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to pursue an administrative career in healthcare or related fields.
This programme enables the learner to acquire the knowledge, skill and competence to work independently and under supervision providing administration services and support in a range of office administration contexts and or to progress to higher education and training.

Legal Practices and Procedures
Education: NFQ Level 4 or equivalent when accessing a Level 5 programme. CERFL proficiency at B2 for access to Level 5 courses.
Aptitude: Applicants must have a motivation to learn, an interest in the subject and the ability to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies set out in the course.
Previous Experience: Applicants must be able to demonstrate a moderate range of knowledge, skills and competencies relevant to the course, be able to work with responsibility and demonstrate the ability to work on their own initiative.
