During her apprenticeship, she has already made a valuable contribution to Meath County Council’s digital development, working on projects including the Digital and ICT Strategy 2030 information portal, the County Development Plan website and a digital complaints management solution.
The award adds to an impressive year for Sopiko, who was also named Rising Star of the Year at the TECHConnect Awards 2026. These achievements highlight the talent, dedication and potential of Ireland’s technology apprentices.
Tech Apprenticeships offer an opportunity to develop in-demand skills while gaining practical experience in the workplace. By combining structured learning with hands-on project work, FIT’s Software Development Apprenticeship helps apprentices build their expertise while making a meaningful contribution to their employers.
Congratulations to Sopiko on this well-deserved recognition, and thank you to Meath County Council for supporting her development and investing in Ireland’s future tech talent.
