Course Aims

This QQI Level 5 course is a FIT initiative for unemployed people to access training and pursue employment opportunities requiring skills in Information Communication Technology and Warehousing. The course also provides learners with development supports and progressions strategies to develop learners’ personal and professional skills. The award will enable the learner to work independently and under supervision in a warehousing environment, and/or to progress to further and/or higher education and training.

  • Pending on 80% attendance learners will also receive Counterbalance & Reach Forklift License & Safe Pass 


All VTOS applicants must be over 21 and in receipt of or a dependent of a Social Protection payment for at least 6 months before starting the course. Participation in a CE or FAS scheme counts in the calculation of six months once you must be in receipt of a relevant Social Protection payment immediately before starting the course.All applicants who present for this course will be given individual guidance by qualified tutors who are in a position to make recommendations as to what courses may suit their learning needs.

You may also be eligible to avail of a Back to Education Allowance (BTEA). The BTEA is an educational opportunities scheme for persons in receipt of certain social welfare payments and who wish to pursue an approved full-time second or third level course of education in an approved college leading to a recognised qualification.
