Through regular skills needs analysis with its industry partners, FIT determines the impact and skills employment opportunities arising from emerging technology trends and designs training programmes that enable a broad and diverse cohort of people to acquire in-demand tech skills. Designed for Further Education Training (FET) provision these programmes are delivered with the support and collaboration of Education and Training Boards (ETBs) nationally. FIT tech programmes, while responsive to industry demands, are built in accordance with the requirements and standards of the National Qualifications Framework.
FIT will appoint an Events & Social Media Coordinator to support the implementation and day-to-day coordination of FIT’s annual digital strategy and events activities, located in Glasnevin, Dublin 11.
Job description
Role: FIT Events & Social Media Coordination.
Reporting to the Innovation & Development Manager, who will support them with the day-to-day coordination of FIT’s annual digital strategy and events activities, located in Glasnevin, Dublin 11 and on a pre-agreed hybrid basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Support the whole FIT team with the running of all FIT company social media postings including targeted national digital campaigns.
· Assist with recruitment of participants for all FIT programmes including the tech apprenticeship programmes through planned digital marketing and event activities.
· Work when applicable with external marketing agencies and partners.
· Design and evaluate all digital & marketing resources including carousels, video media etc as and when requested.
· Support the FIT leadership team with reaching their programme scaling targets & company strategy objectives.
· Plan, co-ordinate & attend annual stakeholder events including organising resources & social media.
· Provide detailed analysis on campaigns post -execution in terms of CTR’s and engagement time.
· Implement ongoing updates to the FIT website and to all the FIT social platforms.
· Formulate guidelines around the FIT brand and use of its logos for all presentation templates and communications.
· Manage Press Releases and all external communications as/when necessary.
Skills and Experience – Essential:
· Ability to analyse data and draw insights.
· Adaptability & problem solving
· Organization and basic project management skills.
· Having extensive knowledge of the latest digital marketing tools and technique
· A mixture of knowledge of a variety of areas such as SEO, copywriting, social media, content marketing, paid marketing, email marketing and analytics.
· An understanding of the principles of creating inclusive media content & communication that is accessible for all.
· Understanding of marketing automation, UX skills & excellent communication skills.
· Understanding of basic HTML and CSS for editing and adding content to websites
· Grasp of social media campaign management tools, such as Hootsuite or equivalent
Preference will be given to candidates with:
· An understanding of content generation tools such as Photoshop, Canva, etc
· An interest & knowledge of video based content and basic video editing skills.
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
The typical working day is 8.30am – 5.00 pm but the post holder will be required to work outside normal working hours (i.e. evenings and weekends) very occasionally.
