Course Aims


This Cloud Computing course is designed to introduce students to the growing area of Cloud Computing. Students become familiar with the fundamentals of Web Authoring and mobile technology.  On completion successful students may progress to relevant Level 5/6 or other education opportunities or to the labour market.

Students gain skills to engage with this innovative Industry. A report commissioned by Microsoft states: 
‘Cloud computing is an evolving industry that has the potential to create €9.5 billion in annual sales by 2014 and generate 8,600 jobs. The cloud computing market is estimated to be worth €40 billion by 2014’

Students also gain skills sought after in the Web Design industry equipping them with knowledge of the latest Internet technologies.

Requirements


Must sit aptitude test set by FIT (Fastrack to Information Technology). See www.fit.ie for more information.

International students must sit language test.

VTOS (Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme) provides a range of courses to meet the education and training needs of unemployed people. If you are over 21 years of age and in receipt of a social welfare payment for more than 156 days you may be eligible to take part in a VTOS course.
