Course Aims

Multimedia with Graphic Design is a one year, level five programme. The aim of this programme is to help learners develop skills in web development, graphic design, photography and animation in a hands-on practical way using industry-standard software. Learners learn how to display their creativity through a variety of interactive media technologies.

Career Opportunities: Graphic Design, Animation, Digital Design, Games Design, Media Production, Web and Social Media content production

Progression: Students may be eligible for entry into a number of Level 7 and 8 degree programmes at various IT's and Universities. Many students have pursued the Animation, VFX and Motion Graphics level 8 or the TV, Radio and New Media Broadcasting level 8 at ITT. Others have applied for the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Visual Communications at CIT and First Year Art & Design at LIT with a view to progressing to the Visual Communications - BA (Honours) in Design (Level 8).

Special Features: Linking with industry is an integral part of the course. In the past we have worked with software development companies to design and produce app content. This initiative, to work alongside industry on real-world projects, was shortlisted for a National Adult Learning Award in 2017.
