Course Aims


These courses (Year 1 Information Technology with Networking & Year 2 Advanced Certificate in Networks and Software Systems) are designed to provide learners with the high level skills and knowledge needed to set up and administer networks, maintain computers and use the internet in a commercial/business environment. Learners will be introduced to modern Cloud based solutions and will develop their skills in networking, systems maintenance, programming, web authoring and online database systems especially MySQL. Most importantly, both of these courses will be delivered using Cloud based technology. The emphasis is on keeping learners up to date, and helping them gain the competitive edge in employment.

Requirements


This is a PLC course and college fees apply for this course however if you are in receipt of a social welfare payment you may be eligible for a fee reduction.

You may also be eligible to avail of a Back to Education Allowance (BTEA). The BTEA is an educational opportunities scheme for persons in receipt of certain social welfare payments and who wish to pursue an approved full-time second or third level course of education in an approved college leading to a recognised qualification.
