Course Aims


Learners will build and investigate electronic circuits which are used in modern robotics applications. They will study computer programming and implement circuits in real applications. Learners will design, build and test their own embedded control systems (which includes the fabrication and construction of printed circuit boards). Learners will also study PC construction installation and maintenance and are prepared for the internationally recognised CompuTIA+ award. In the second year, learners will investigate relevant digital techniques (including radio and fibre-optic telecommunications) which underpin Cloud Computing Technolog

Requirements


This is a PLC course and college fees apply for this course however if you are in receipt of a social welfare payment you may be eligible for a fee reduction.
You may also be eligible to avail of a Back to Education Allowance (BTEA). The BTEA is an educational opportunities scheme for persons in receipt of certain social welfare payments and who wish to pursue an approved full-time second or third level course of education in an approved college leading to a recognised qualification.
